China's Laser Industry Review in 2020

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's total GDP exceeds 100 trillion yuan in 2020, an increase of 2.3% over the previous year. China's GDP accounts for more than 16% of the world. According to the Laser Processing Professional Committee, the output value of China's domestic laser processing equipment industry will be 68 billion in 2020, an increase of 18% over the previous year. Currently, China's laser industry continues to develop at a high growth rate despite being affected by the profit of the domestic and international economic environment. It is expected that in 2021, the output value of China's domestic laser processing equipment industry is expected to reach 85 billion.

In 2020, the output value of the laser cutting market has increased by 15% compared to 2019, and the installed equipment has increased by 40%; domestic light sources occupy the mainstream for lasers below 10,000 watts; domestic light sources 12kW power laser cutting machine, has installed 1500 units. At present, the domestic laser cutting process, supporting components, software and hardware are further optimized, and the cutting efficiency is significantly improved. It is gratifying to note that 40kW domestic light source has achieved sales.
